Impi MHB 04-10 (K6K 1711 x KPO 615) is the only registered animal in South Africa from KPO 615, a daughter of the famous Ol Pejeta bull KPO 1279. The Mogwooni bull K6K 1711, is almost exclusive to Mollshoop Boran genetics. Therefore, Impi is a magnificent bull with the added advantage of rare genetics on both his father and mother side.
Impi’s outstanding qualities are a strong and masculine head and neck, and extraordinary muscling on his forequarter. Unfortunately he picked up an injury in his right hind hock some time before Vastrap Boran purchased the Mollshoop herd. This has resulted in a wasting away of his hind quarter and has rendered him incapable of natural mating. Unfortunately, the photos we have of Impi do not do him justice. Impi has a heavy sheath and needs to be paired accordingly.
Impi has produced magnificent offspring with notably strong heads and muscular backs. Impi’s semen and two of his bull calves are on offer at the Vastrap Boran auction on 16 August 2013, including Jupiter MHB 09-31 (Impi MHB 04-10 x Jackie MHB 05-06) and Oliver MHB 08-55 (Impi MHB 04-10 x Odette MHB 05-05).
