The Kelly bloodline hails from the Mutara ADC 5761 motherline. Mutara genetics have become extremely rare since the demise of Kenya’s state-run herd in the 2010 drought. The most prolific Ol Pejeta bull, KPO 786, was used as the sole sire to establish the Kelly bloodline.

ADC 5761 is exclusive to Mollshoop genetics. Most Boran lines either breed good bulls or good females, but this motherline breeds both – a rare quality.
Khan MHB 04-27 is undoubtedly one of the best Boran bulls in South Africa hard, muscular and with phenomenal length. He was sold to Paul Pienaar (Bar Circle) and Bernie Staal (Bos Blanco) for R250 000 in 2012. His full sister Kelly MHB 04-24, exemplifies what a Boran cow should look like with her beautiful feminine and fertile wedge. She was sold at the 2013 Vastrap Auction for R200 000.

Sir, you have some excellent cattle whom everyone would envy having on their farm! So sad you had to sell Hope, Great cow, even without even seeing her in person. But then again her genes are present in your herd through Husky and Hero. Continue to do the work that you have been doing. God Bless!!
